    We worked with constituent authorities and West Midlands residents to develop the idea of Local Travel Points. This included a region-wide survey and the creation of the West Midlands Mobility Hub Prototype. We demonstrated the prototype during a roadshow of events.

    We met local councillors and residents for a cob and a coffee at Huntingtree Park to discuss early versions of the proposals.

    Summer 2023

    Transport for West Midlands, Black Country Transport and Dudley Council identified ideal sites for the pilot Local Travel Points. The process involved data analysis, site visits and what we heard at the drop-in session.

    In progress

    Right now, we need your help to create the Local Travel Points that will be installed for the pilot. Your ideas and feedback will help to shape our work with Trueform to design and manufacture each point. This stage will involve surveys, drop-in sessions and workshops.

    Spring 2025

    Three Local Travel Points will open in Halesowen. The pilot will last for one year. The pilot will involve a series of events, promotions and training sessions so that you can discover how Local Travel Points can help you to save money, be active and love where you live.
  • Network expansion

    If the pilot demonstrates that Local Travel Points can help, we'll expand the pilot network in Dudley and other areas of the region.
